I’m Alan Fentiman, a filmmaker, videographer, and editor with over 15 years of experience producing compelling, story-led video content for arts organisations, heritage sites, universities, charities, and creative businesses across the UK.

My work includes:

  • 🎥 Short documentaries

Whether it’s for broadcast, gallery, or web, I create films that connect with audiences and reflect the creativity, depth, and integrity of the people and ideas behind them.

💡 How I Work

My approach is:

  • Agile – often working solo or in small crews

  • Collaborative – developing ideas closely with clients and artists

  • Unobtrusive – capturing honest moments without fuss

From concept to delivery, I bring clarity, structure, and care to every stage of the process—combining cinematic visuals with documentary sensibility and a strong sense of narrative.

🌱 Why I Do This Work

Documenting the ideas, practices, and people driving art, heritage, research, and creative change.

I believe powerful stories don’t require big crews or fancy kits—just trust, attention, and the ability to see what matters. My films reflect the real, the reflective, and the quietly profound.
